Don’t mind my youngest daughter’s peanut butter waffle
Finally got sick of the LEDs on the bar on my van, plus 2 of them are almost burned out, so I picked up these bad boys off a guy on CL. They are mint.
Super excited to get the van painted so I can get everything on it.

For about 15 years I raced with those and wasn’t real satisfied. I found them to be an expensive way to convert electrons into heat+ and a little bit of light. A quality set of LED’s are amazing....

I had LEDs, while they are obnoxiously bright, the actual light output wasn’t spectacular IMO.
Lights like this may not output as much light, but have better contrast and beam pattern which makes them more useful.

Nice! I’ve got 4 hellas on the front of my XT and like the look a lot. Even more than that I like avoiding deer at night on back roads, which they have proved useful for. I have 2 driving lights and 2 fogs though, and I find the fogs very useful even though my car came with it’s own factory fog lights

Nice, are those 500 or 700?
I had 500 on the ol d truck;
and have 700 on the Subaru;
They are a nice aux light that matches the highbeams very well. When you put them on upgrade the wiring harness and you can put 100w bulbs in there as well.
There are also a lot of youtube vids on swapping these to hid.

They are 500s. I already have heavy wiring from my initial lights ( which I ran 100w bulbs in ) , so it shouldn’t have a problem with these on my current wiring, just have to switch back to the bigger fuse.
I’m going to run them as is for now, once they burn out a bulb I’ll likely upgrade to 100w yellow bulbs. I enjoy the yellows for contrast in poor weather.

I plan on setting them up like my LEDs were setup, the bottom pair for “fogs”/ “driving” lights, the top pair to supplement my high beams.
Good to hear you like yours, I’ve heard nothing but good about them.

Hella Lite indeed, I have some 1000's on my RR. I’m trying to find some suitable LED bulbs for them as they are the only remaining non-LEDs on the truck.

I likes having four up front, there are some fun ways to aim them as well.
When I had mine I was cross-aiming them, the inside pair were centered but crossed, outside pair were crossed to the edges. Things standing in the roadway were double lit when they were directly in front of the truck.
I get the same light out of my Squadrons now, without the lightbar or 4x
lamps up front. T
he instant on of LED are nice but I have to run amber or else they are too white..

I’m actually going back away from LEDs.
They produce a lot of light, but I’m finding the “super white” coloring of them make them very poor in anything other than perfect dark conditions. The old halogens may produce less light, but they have better contrast and work better all around IMO.

I usually have the lower ones aimed low and wide, the top ones centered and long, that way when everything is on it’s like daylight out in front of me. When I just run the lowers they’re lighting the ditches and under the fog so I can still see.

In general you are correct. But the LED’s by Rigid have built in lenses. We found them to be terrific (though not cheap) . https://www.rigidindustries.com/vehicle-specific-products

I think for $80 for the set of 4, I’ll pass on $300+ LEDs....
